Title Registration Timeframe Win for UDIA

Tomkinson Group is pleased to share UDIA’s recent advocacy achievement with the Titles Office, for a five day title registration turnaround. Tomkinson Group is a long standing UDIA member, and our Director, Andrea Tomkinson, is Chair of the UDIA (Vic) Northern Chapter.

The turnaround commitment from LandUse Victoria applies to registrations of subdivisions of 10 or more lots for both land and apartment plan’s of subdivision. As stated in UDIA’s recent press release:

“The approach will see LandUse Victoria prioritise non-requisitioned plans with larger lot numbers, but continue to treat all requestioned plans the same. For example, if a mistake is made in the application process, the application will not be prioritised and will be subject to the general timeframe target of 15 business days.”

Tomkinson Group aims to supply solicitors with compliance documents within 2 business days of receipt of Statement of Compliance from Council, thus complementing this commitment from the Titles Office. The resultant turnaround reduces the expected timeframe of 36-55 days to 21-35 days – which we expect will greatly improve outcomes and timeframes for all our clients, as shown in the table left.
