Sprucing up the Eaglehawk Court House

Tomkinson Group was proud to be involved in the Eaglehawk Town Hall and Court House Project with the City of Greater Bendigo. The project included upgrading some of the landscape areas around the heritage buildings. Tomkinson Group assisted by undertaking detail feature and level survey and engineering design of the drainage and site grading that was in poor condition and was adversely impacting on the heritage building. We coordinated our design with Council ‘s building & heritage team, and landscape architects Thomson Hay.

Tomkinson Group has performed similar upgrade work for other Council heritage buildings such as the Joss House, QEO house and Dudley House. Interestingly, Dudley House was constructed in 1858 as the office and residence of Mr Richard Larritt, Government district surveyor responsible for the layout of Bendigo streets. Dudley House now functions as an Art Gallery.
